Welcome to my website for my beginning teacher registration or as we call it PRT (Provisionally  Registered Teacher).

My name is Dani and I live in Christchurch .I am privileged to teach at Cotswold School and love every minute of it. This website is all about my journey to becoming a fully registered teacher as it is a requirement to keep a reflective journal. I have decided to create my journal in a digital format. So if you are either my tutor teacher or you have some how found me enjoy my reflective journal!

“I believe we need to educate students to become independent learners who are capable of self-management, where they take responsibility for their own learning. It is important to know the learners and create learning programmes that fit their needs and leaves room to emerge discovery.

Students need to be encouraged to make the most of their education by becoming life-long learners. It is important to develop strong partnerships between teacher and students and also family, whanau and the wider community. All students need to feel a sense of belonging and know when they come into the classroom they are in a safe and positive environment.”
